Students who apply for IES University M.Tech courses are admitted to the postgraduate curriculum through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Other courses are admitted through state-level entrance exams and counselling. IES University has also achieved the 37th rank among the top engineering colleges of India.

The IES University library has well-furnished computer labs, digital classrooms, software, and a library with more than 15000 volumes of textbooks and reference books with subscribed e-journals.
